We provided emergency services to the community. It was rewarding to use my ability to speak Spanish and help the community. I enjoy the physical aspect of the job and using my background in strength and conditioning to help the department. I started and led the health and wellness committee and enjoyed sharing my passion. We focused holistically on fitness, nutrition, peer support and cancer prevention to all department members and our goal was to educate our members.

I joined the team to lead the maintenance department and improve performance and morale of the department and site. It was a pleasure to work with this team and improve the plant. Together we were able to improve performance, decrease downtime and make some major capital improvements along with smaller achievements within the plant. I brought my passion for health and wellness and started a health and wellness committee and rolled out a similar industrial athlete pre shift warm up routine to help reduce injury and prepare team members for work.

I enjoyed all the different aspects of leadership and management from production, maintenance and projects for the site. I lead 3 departments for production at the Denver plant. I also lead the maintenance department on first shift.I bring my passion for health and wellness everywhere I go. I started a health and wellness committee for the Denver plant. We focused holistically on health and wellness, nutrition, smoking cessation and EAP for mental health. I worked with the team members and we made a pre shift warm up routine for the industrial athlete which helped them get ready to work. This helped to reduce injuries and mentally got them ready for the floor. We also worked to get a onsite occupational therapy program with a PT company for the plant members. This was a huge success thanks to a great team of people and support from my plant leadership.

I trained many different clients at Gainey from professional athletes to stay at home moms. I met with each client to review their goals and make specific programs to help them achieve their goals. I really enjoyed the challenge of training and all the different aspects that are involved to help people achieve their goals.

I assisted the physical therapists with all patients treatment and rehab programs. I also helped with the strength training programs for Spooner's student athletic programs. I was looking at perusing a career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and returning to school. Ultimately I decided this was not what I wanted to do. I enjoyed my experience and working with the team.
