I spent fourteen years (1976 – 90) at The First Boston Corporation and Credit Suisse First Boston in senior positions in New York, London and Tokyo. From 1984 to 1990 I established CSFB subsidiaries in Japan and Hong Kong, obtained regulatory licenses as well as memberships on securities and futures exchanges in the region and built sales, trading.

Prior to moving to Asia I managed the Country Desks (global new business effort) for the market-leading CSFB capital markets group in London where I directed the team that worked with governments, supranational agencies, international banks, public utilities and corporations to design and market Eurobond issues. I was a member of the CSFB Executive.
