Chartered Accountant with an Honours degree in commerce from the University of Delhi, Jitesh has over 16 years of experience in formulation/implementation of ethics and compliance programs, forensic accounting, investigations, dispute resolution, designing/implementing anti-fraud controls, internal audits and internal financial controls for corporates across industries. Jitesh currently leads the Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Financial Crime and Ethics Compliance Programs at Coupang. In this role, he works with business stakeholders to develop an effective compliance framework to prevent, detect and mitigate compliance risks in our businesses across multiple geographies.Prior to Coupang, he has worked with Forensic Services Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers India (PwC) across two stints. PwC is the pioneer of forensic profession in India and the team at PwC has handled some of the most complex compliance/investigations matters in India. Prior to PwC, he has also worked as Controller – Forensic & Internal Audit at Global Growth (formerly known as Eli Global) for an year. Headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, USA, Global Growth (https://www.globalgrowth.com/) is a conglomerate of independent portfolios comprising of businesses operating in different sectors, including health care technology, communications, financial services and business software. Over the years, he has worked both as an in-house compliance professional and at Big 4 consultancy firms, helping clients with compliance. With a comprehensive understanding of Anti-Corruption, Financial Crime, Ethics, Investigation, as well as Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management and Corporate Governance, he has a proven track record of building and implementing effective compliance programs that align with business objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.He has also led large teams on several forensic engagements in the areas of fraud and ethical misconduct encompassing issues in the nature of bribery/corruption, conflict of interest, corporate espionage, asset misappropriation, kickbacks, window dressing of financial statements, etc. In addition, he has substantial experience in the field of Arbitration, Internal Audit, and designing policies & procedures.
