Engineering lead for the Undiagnosed Diseases Network within the Department of Biomedical Informatics responsible for: • Leading a team consisting of one other Software Engineer, a Product Manager, and a Software Engineering Intern • Responsible for AWS infrastructure for the Gateway application and supporting systems making use of several AWS offerings, including: EC2, ElasticBeanstalk, RDS (MySQL), Lambda, CloudWatch, CodePipeline, CloudFormation, • Lead developer of existing Django web application which is responsible for all patient data within the study including 2 PB of genetic data • Upgraded researcher facing REST API to improve access to system data for biomedical researchers • Migrated from Django template frontend to upgrade React frontend including: creation of design mockups, conducting user interviews, architecting React project, and development of features in TypeScript • Leading migration of Django backend to Node/Express backend including: architecting new system infrastructure and development of features in TypeScript • Providing mentorship and coaching for engineer and intern on the team
