I assist retailers in better protecting their employees, customers, and assets using translational research and education. I facilitate collaboration between retailers as well as solution providers through projects, working groups, and events. At the LPRC my specific area of focus is data analytics. Some types of projects I’ve worked on include shrink modeling using location attributes, store level risk profiling, brand sentiment analysis utilizing social media, pre-post outcome analysis for deterrents, and forecasting of key performance indicators.

During my time in the Global and Environmental Health Lab I assisted in the spatial modeling of air pollution and processing of environmental data to measure the effects of fine particulates (PM2.5) on neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admissions in the state of Florida. Other projects include producing fine scale PM2.5 estimations for the southeastern USA using machine learning models and investigating the social and environmental dynamics of COVID-19 related mortality in northern Italy. I contributed my data wrangling, statistics, and remote sensing skills to additional projects as needed.
