Contacted all students and employees, who tested for COVID-19 through the Student Health Clinic as well as individuals who have been in close contact with a positive case COVID-19.Maintained records, documents pertinent information for students and employees to the health center and within the electronic health record. Scheduled appropriate COVID-19 testing and if test results are positive schedule a telehealth visit with the SHC medical provider staff. Coordinated with Residence Life staff for on-campus students requiring isolation in a separate dorm from their normal residence hall. Explained delivery of meals for on-campus students, discuss wrap-around services for off-campus students and employees such as food and pharmacy deliveries, laundry services, and garbage removal, provide resources for mental health services including 24/7 options, informed Human Resource Services of positive employees, and coordinated of information with the Dean of Students to inform faculty for students who become too ill to participate in virtual learning due to the illness.Provided information to the County Public Health Contact Tracers information on students/employees who tested positive and those exposed to a close contact. Worked remotely as a research assistant with Dr. Yang Bai. The study was looking to discover the efficacy of fitness monitors plus health coaching, versus only fitness monitors or the control group receiving no intervention, on hypertensive individuals.

Researched theories and application for advancing the objectives of Album Health, a growing health coaching company in the Des Moines metropolitan.

Duties included:-Facilitated presentations on alcohol, sleep, and stress reduction. -Contributed to a number of strategic projects aimed at general wellness, such as: (1) helping kickstart university-wide marketing campaigns for flu and HPV vaccinations in conjunction with Theilen Student Health Center, (2) creating connections for BASICS alcohol education program to launch with the oversight of faculty in the graduate program for Counseling Psychology at Iowa State University, and (3) coordinating four unique events for the first Mental Health Awareness Week in partnership with student leaders from ISU Student Government. To quote the mission of PWEs as described at student wellness.iastate.edu: "Peer Wellness Educators strive to work with students, staff, and faculty to enhance student success by increasing access to wellness information and knowledge, teaching life-enhancing skills, and advocating for environmental change to help build a culture of well-being at ISU."One example of my work can be seen in the digital upload of a poster to educate students about environmental and occupational wellness.

Learned Motivational Interviewing techniques in a practicum course and continued serving as a Peer Health Coach with the Graduate Research team of Dr. Gregory Welk, PhD., and Kathryn Southard.Discovered that MI achieves positive outcomes in both introverted and extroverted individuals through original research for my Honors Capstone project.

As President and pioneer of this first-year student organization, I held the following responsibilities: -Met with representatives from all departments in CHS to educate and promote student organization involvement in HSW16 and HSW17. -Evaluated proposals for participation to ensure alignment of goals were met. -Collaborated with five members weekly to discuss calendar, contacts, and responsibilities. -Interviewed and led Student Leadership Team of peers with fellow Co-Chair. -Developed and maintained new student organization Constitution and Operations Manual. -Determined proposed budget for weeklong, college-wide events for over 3,000 students.
