*Responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of department staffing via scheduling, hiring, and cross-training*Oversee 10-14 direct reports at any given time*Work closely with staff to help achieve their career development goals by providing coaching, opportunities for new responsibilities, and advocacy within the greater NSM community*Maintain and improve communication channels between company/store leadership and department staff.*Coach assistant department managers to work towards industry goals using a combination of best practices..*Maintain consistently high food safety scores and coaches staff to do the same*Maintain a safe work environment and coaches staff to do the same*Follow all systems/procedures required by Oregon Tilth to maintain Organic certification, and coach staff to do same.*Provide exceptional customer service, develop relationships with regular customers, and coach staff to do the same.*All other potential tasks and duties related to the Bakery department, as circumstances and current staffing levels dictate.*Developed and implemented new systems and processes to improve productivity and efficiency, and shared these systems with other bakery departments.*Participated in innovation and production task forces that have shaped the direction of our bakery program*Safety Committee chairperson at Nyberg Rivers (04/2016 - 10/2016)*Completed Supervisory Series training program, 2015*Completed Leadership Learning Program, 2016
