I am passionate about grief and loss and the impact it has on individuals, families and communities. I am committed, ambitious and eager to make a difference to those who have suffered a bereavement. My particular passion is for perinatal loss and support groups. My attributes include compassion, empathy, diligence and a love of learning. My interests include Meaning reconstruction within grief and loss and increasing the capacity of bereaved people within the context of them being the experts in their own world. I possess proficient management skills from owning and running my family business for 10 years.I have developed and presented educational material in my role as a Midwife and Bereavement Counsellor. I volunteered on a National Helpline for Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia for 3 years. My work as a grief counsellor allows me to build supportive and confidential relationships with my clients and I am committed to this role through ongoing professional development, supervision and peer support. I am passionate about learning, reflecting and improving in all aspects of my life. I am open, honest and sensitive to the needs of clients from different cultural backgrounds. I strive for professional excellence and for integrity and congruence in all my professional and personal relationships.
