As Fundraising, Communities and Events Lead at RSPCA Brighton I was responsible for implementing a calendar of fundraising initiatives to ensure financial stability.From setting up the systems and processes to become fundraising ready, to recruiting and retaining a team of volunteers to support new initiatives, launching a calendar of innovative, successful challenge, virtual and IRL events including an annual cold water dip, SUP challenge, Summer Festival, Kennel Sleepout, Christmas Trees Fair, along with supporter journeys automated to ensure onward engagement with the charity.

As Event Manager within the Communications and Engagement Directorate, I played a key role in the strategic direction of RSPCA’s Events, designing, developing and delivering a wide range of projects across communications, fundraising and internal and external engagement and advising teams from across the Society how to design and deliver projects to ensure the best outcomes.In 2018 I launched a completely new events concept called One Fun Day, a network of simultaneous events taking place across RSPCA branches, shops and animal centres. This project involves a full range of internal and internal communications - from pitching the concept to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels to signing up event hosts and strengthening the community by way of this shared events experience.In 2020, I led RSPCA into the world of Virtual Events, launching Virtual One Fun Day. RSPCA were able to reach supporters in a completely new way and fundraise for the branch network at a time when traditional face to face fundraising was not possible. Based on this success, I now advise teams across the Society how to design and deliver their events virtually via a range of online tools including design and delivery of a full virtual conference, thought leadership and celebrity events. I am also responsible for designing and delivering a calendar of annual events including attendance at large consumer events such as Countryfile Live and developing our own events portfolio including a Celebrity Carol Concert and Howloween.

In 2009 I launched and grew the brand Toddlebike to #1 bestseller on Amazon, stocked in John Lewis, Halfords and a range of independent bike shops via community, partnership and social media marketing activity.During this time, I was an Ambassador for the UK Government's Business is Great project and was regularly consulted about how best to support the county's SMEs. This included regular meetings with politicians, speaking at meetings and conferences and attending networking events.I also spent a year on E Spark, a buisness incubator programme which helped me to grow my entrepreneurial mindset, mentored me to develop my marketing skills and supported my growing business.

 Manager of a team of 8 office staff, and approximately 30 onsite staff for the International Diabetes Federation Congress, Paris 2003 Full responsibility for 16,500 delegates and 500+ Speakers. Implementation and refinement of the systems that were the basis for this project.  Building, training and motivating a capable team.  Onsite management, reconciliation and reporting on an €8million registration total. Responsible for the Speaker Programme of 600 Speakers.
