Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2015), and a Postdoctoral Fellow (2019) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ, in the Mechanical Engineering Program, PEM-COPPE (Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering). Master's Degree (2008) and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (1996), both by the Polytechnic Institute Jose Antonio Echeverria, ISPJAE, Cuba.Actually, in a Postdoctoral position at the National Institute of Technology of Brazil, INT; working in the areas of multiphysics computational simulations and advanced material characterization for industrial and medical applications, e.g. non-linear solid mechanics for industrial applications and Implantable Medical Devices (DMIs) and the study of meta-materials. Also, working in the study and implementation of physic-based Digital Twins,Experience in computational mechanics, with emphases on non-linear solid mechanics within the context of continuum thermodynamics, material engineering, and for medical and industrial applications using the Finite Element Method in; Engineering of materials area: Computational simulation of experimental tests of micro-and nano-indentation, tension, and compression test in metal, polymers, and biological tissues (e.g. animal bone), fatigue in metals and polymers, for the material properties study with a focus on the development of constitutive models based on Plasticity and Viscoplasticity formulations; Industrial area: Simulation of the structural behavior of industrial installations (oil and gas industries) such as the elevation and descent of a large-size Refinery distillation tower, and the behavior of a large-size hyperbaric chamber for deep-water conditions testing. Also, in the field of ultrasonic and non-destructive tests and in the mechanical design of components and devices for the manufacture of ultrasonic transducers and piezoelectric ceramics for medical and industrial ultrasonic equipment.
