As a Resident Assistant, I had the opportunity to create a community atmosphere by facilitating social and educational programs for underclassmen residents on a weekly basis. I helped counsel, mediate, and advocate for these residents during their time in the residence hall. In order to carry out the necessary tasks and provide a welcoming environment, I participated in intensive training, which included personal and group development and diversity education. In this role, I had the privilege of working in a collaborative team with other Resident Assistants.

I assisted in grading assignments for a junior-level Geotechnical Engineering course.

Portland, Oregon Area

As the Water Intern at HDR, I had the opportunity to work on Wastewater Treatment projects around the Portland area. This included working on predesign reports, evaluation reports, lab data input, and writing specifications. I also worked on a sewage master plan, where I created unit hydrographs to help with the calibration for a hydraulic model.

“Evaluation of Water Retention and Water Quality from Ecoroofs in the Portland Area”· Collected stormwater samples during rain events; assisted in collecting soil samples in the field· Labeled and conducted HACH water quality tests on stormwater samples· Performed data entry and analysis through research and analysis· Presented results in a Poster Presentation
