As a Peer Idea Activator (PIA), I connected with nearly 2,200 students in the SFU campus community to further understand the sense of community, or lack thereof, for SFU students. I organized and co-facilitated that contributed to the overall research for SFU Student Experience Initiative (SEI). In March 2020, the PIA team presented the main themes to SFU community stakeholders. The PIA project won the IAP2 Canada 2020 Core Values Honourable Mention Award for Extending the Practice through Creativity, Contribution and Innovation in the Field of public participation.

As a Mentorvisor, I was responsible for overseeing the weekly operations of Catching the Spirit (CTS) camps over the course of the summer (May-August). In addition to assuring the safety and comfort of participants during weekend camps, I was primarily responsible for providing day to day guidance and mentorship to the CTS youth Peer Leader team.
