Developed Common Core State Standards (CCSS)-aligned reading comprehension passages/items for middle-school-aged English Language Learners (ELLs) as part of a statewide K-12 assessment program.

Perform psychometric reviews and analysis of completed written and oral examination projects. Assist with large-scale, test data analysis, including reporting of inter-rater reliability, as well as the creation of final reports for written and oral exam development activities. Supervised a team of item writers through the passage and item development phase for the Reading for Understanding Assessment. Created and administered item writer training to each member of the team. Provided daily comments and edits to writers regarding passages and items, and led them through the revision process until completion. Maintained daily contact with writers, and weekly contact with administrators.

Developed and revised reading comprehension items and passages for the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading (FAIR) using the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for grades K – 10. Scored written response comprehension questions according to CCSS writing strands for grades 3 – 10.

Testing coordinator for Hillsborough County. Trained and hired test administrators, as well as oversaw operational requirements for administering the Florida Assessment for Instruction in Reading (F.A.I.R) to over 16,000 students in Pre K- 12 grade levels.

Oversaw the management of large-scale measurement and evaluation projects in multiple languages and fields. Conducted job studies for multilingual companies, developed test materials for and managed implementation of educational programs, assisted with cut-score decisions, construction of rubrics, assessed validity and reliability of testing programs/test items, contributed articles regarding test development and interpreter certification standards to our online company blog, and fostered and maintained a relationship with key stakeholders.
