Co-managed the petty offense docket for the Eastern District of Washington resolving and litigating all class C and B misdemeanors as necessary. Communicated with agents, officers, and general counsel regarding federal citations. Regularly communicated with constituents about their citations and questions about the federal court process. Performed legal research for criminal and civil cases. Assisted AUSAs in writing and researching three appellate response briefs for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Wrote extensive briefings and conducted a two-and-a-half-day evidentiary hearing defending the constitutionality of the Federal Protective Services administrative inspection scheme.
