In this peer-to-peer style mentoring program, I helped other students examine the strengths and weaknesses of their current academic habits in order to guide them toward more beneficial habits and resources. Together we created big picture academic time management plans for the semester, month and week. Worked with athletes and students with jobs to establish a plan for managing the many draws on their time. I also offered students who were struggling academically new reading and note-taking strategies and device-use management tools, and suggested additional resources such as Teaching Fellows, Writing Fellows, or Study Tables. I provided a safe place for students to voice their frustrations with classes, teachers, parents, bosses, coaches & themselves, and helped them explore creative solutions for dealing with those problems.
