About Jodee Marcellin, Ed.D.

After growing up in the Bay Area, JoDee attended California State University, Fresno and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (emphasis in athletic training), Masters in Public Health, teaching and administrative credentials, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. JoDee began her educational career at Sanger High School teaching science and health for three years before serving as an assistant principal for seven years. During her time as a SHS administrator, she was instrumental establishing SHS as a CalSTAT model school in full inclusion and helped move the school from Immediate Intervention/ Underperforming Schools Program (II/USP) to California Distinguished School through partnerships with Riverside County Achievement Team (RCAT) and Steve Zuieback (Synectics). These partnerships were the catalyst for her progress in leadership development, systems thinking, and facilitation skills. Following her time at Sanger High School, JoDee worked as a district K-12 curriculum coordinator for three years. She then continued her journey as an elementary principal where she used her breadth of experience to establish sustainable systems, which afforded a four-year growth in student achievement. In 2014 she returned to the district office as a coordinator of grants, instructional technology, and SCALE-Up. During her K-12 tenure, she built her repertoire by providing training and leadership in Professional Learning Communities, Response to Intervention, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, special education, and English Language Development, professional development, curriculum and instruction, systems change, and instructional technology. JoDee is proud to work alongside some of the best educators in the nation who are passionate about facilitating success for ALL students. Passion and motivation for student success are stemmed from her own educational struggles as a child. She strives to live the motto Every Child, Every Day, Whatever it Takes!
