Wing Director Of Psychological Health
As Wing Director of Psychological Health (WDPH), I serve as point of contact for all aspects of the program. The WDPH works with leadership to create protocols and procedures, psycho-educational briefs, ad hoc reports, and pre and post-intervention materials on pertinent topics. The WDPH provides assessments, counseling, problem resolution skills, and case management. This position works with leadership on large scale interventions to identify trends and problems, as well as recommend solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identify complex problems that may affect the mission and provide consultative services to commanders and others to resolve the issues. Analyze all available patterns and information and consult with commanders to prevent further problems in the future. Provides trainings and briefings as needed in promoting the program’s mission to other collaborative community and government support programs. Identifies the need for critical incident response and insures that TEM (Traumatic Event Management) and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) are provided when appropriate and personally managing these interventions as needed Administrative point of contact for a diverse variety of behavioral and psychological health programs, collaborating with their boards and directors. Facilitate, track, and report results of psychological health program. Coordinate and consult with ANG (Air Force National Guard) leadership on all psychological health initiatives. Complete accurate and detailed bio-social assessments including substance abuse assessments, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorders) assessments, and suicide rating assessments as needed. Provide screening diagnostic tools as needed to provide accurate implementation to meet the needs of members and families.
