My dream was to make people happy. At first I thought that would be through video production and broadcasting, based off my childhood love of classic sitcoms. I studied communications, bounced around studios, marketing companies, even playing guitar in a late-night variety show house band.Like many others, I took a day job to help during quiet stretches. It made ends meet, and introduced me to procurement. And I loved it. Learning about strategic purchasing, I had an epiphany; procurement comes down to effective communication.Now my job is using those same skills to help continually improve our purchasing for all parties involved. I've helped transform my organization with my accomplishments, including: • helping revise our CWK process, streamlining dozens of requests annually plus invoice processing • roll out PR to PO processes leading to a 10x increase in captured spend over 1 year • supporting over 100 suppliers with our code of conduct and qualification initiatives as a point of contact, providing hands on troubleshooting when necessaryBest of all, I enjoy making internal and external clients happy while working through challenges that come with change management.
