Following the closure of Heehaw Digital, I joined Denholm to establish a dedicated digital recruitment function and to raise awareness of the agency’s capability to recruit for digital roles. I was responsible for establishing new business contacts, educating on and promoting digital skillsets internally, along with recruiting for a wide range of digital roles. I also helped out with the company’s digital marketing activities; developing a digital strategy and writing a regular blog on digital topics. More recently I assisted in reviewing the company’s Customer Experience; actively taking part in workshops, developing customer questionnaires and coordinating activities.

Heehaw Digital was a medium sized agency developing websites and online applications for a range of clients. I joined as a senior account manager/project manager and was very hands-on in managing a number of projects consecutively; with budgets ranging from £5k to £60k+. Projects covered both on and offline marketing pieces, e-commerce websites and a variety of online business systems. I was promoted to head up the project management team and line managed two project executives along with being on the leadership team shaping the direction and processes of the agency. We introduced Agile working practices with the development team.
Realise is one of Scotland’s leading digital agencies. I managed a portfolio of blue chip client relationships, primarily in financial services, and provided ongoing support to clients along with the maintenance of accounts. I was involved in project pitches and led kick-off meetings along with ensuring work was delivered in line with the agencies and clients’ expectations.
Centrex IT was a digital agency that had a specific focus on working with sports governing bodies to develop online systems that would allow them to manage their membership more effectively. I played a key role in developing a sports management system, working closely with Scottish Rugby and Scottish Football to define requirements and develop the system. My role covered project management, requirements definition including creating wireframes, budget control, along with training and support. The system was used by the following bodies: Scottish Rugby Union, Scottish Football Association, Hong Kong Rugby Union, West Indies Cricket BoardPrior to Centrex IT being formed we operated as Lòghar - a digital agency covering website design and development for a range of clients. I operated as a cross between a project manager and studio manager, heading up a team of designers and developers.
As senior web designer I liaised with clients to produce website designs and implement front-end coding in HTML and CSS. I was also involved in digital video editing and CD-ROM production developing a promotional disc for Adobe.
