Improve my understanding of purchasing relationship to the over-all company plans and strategy.• Advising planning, engineering and drafting of item master errors, updates, or omissions in relation to mil-specs or new or obsolete items.• Examine, isolate and monitor environmental, financial or political factors involving suppliers that might influence commodity procurement decisions.• Managing procurement of materials with foreign sources• Remaining up-to-date on all laws pertaining to procurement: UCC, law of agency, valid contracts, FAR and DFAR , ETC.• Evaluate business forecasts and pinpoint any areas of vulnerability of company requirements.• Research and analyze costing information for cost reduction• 20 million dollar annual spend

• Set requirements forward for the Purchase of raw materials, and manufactured parts for Aircraft cabin and cockpits thru MRP, for Troy, AL. branch• Expedite LRIP requirements, for cockpit, cabin & flight safety• Daily parts shortage issue with my Troy AL. branch, who manufacture my components.• Weekly status meetings with the US Navy, NAVAIR, DCMA & Structural Engineers.• My responsibilities include approx 2500 parts.

Responsible for approximately 25 employees, in purchasing, maintenance, shipping & receiving, and raw material operations (planning, processing and scheduling).• Recommend and executed major raw material purchases.• Negotiated yearly requirement contracts with competitive service. • Performed material management, inventory control, planning, expediting, shipping & receiving raw material. • Selected and managed all vendor activities.• Negotiated and purchased yearly fuel contracts. • Purchased and executed all raw material (MRP), capitol equipment, tooling and/or supplies, automotive needs, property etc. • Worked with available resources for timely (JIT) delivery, along with MRP for delivery dates.• Responsible for all inventory activities.• Interfaced with accounts payable/collections.• Strong knowledge of ISO 9000 procedures.• Coordinated repair orders for company equipment.• Responsible for all safety issues including, but not limited to, OSHA/DEP compliance• Reduced companies’ raw material inventory from $2.5m to $650K to increase material turns per year thus increasing corporate cash flow.• Resolved HAZ-MAT problems.• Reduced natural gas costs
