I was appointed to serve on the Village of Oxford Village Council following a vacancy on the council. At this time, the Village of Oxford was still in transition following a vacancy in the Clerk and Manager roles. During my time on council, we hired a new Village Manager and Village Clerk. In November 2018, I was elected to continue to serve on Village Council, and was further elected by my peers to serve as Village President.

The Oxford Downtown Development Authority was in a state of transition when I was hired. the organization had lost it's National Main Street Accreditation, had committees who were not functioning, and a downtown public who mistrusted the DDA. I reactivated committees, recruited volunteers, and built positive relationships downtown. These efforts were recognized by Main Street Oakland County with an "Outstanding Transition of Executive Directors" Award in April 2016. I lead the organization to National Main Street Accreditation 2015 and 2016Directed reconnaissance level survey of downtown districts historic properties and secured selection to Michigan SHPO National Register of Historic Places nominations services program to list Downtown Oxford on the National Register of Historic Places. I developed the M-24 Task Force to plan and prepare for major reconstruction along M-24 for 2020.

Cambridge City Volunteer Fire Department provides fire and rescue services for Cambridge City and Western Wayne County. As a volunteer firefighter, I responded as needed to fire and rescue calls. Served, as needed, as Public Information Officer.I currently hold State of Indiana certification as Firefighter I/II.
Community Preservation Specialist
Indiana Landmarks is our nation's largest state-wide historic preservation advocacy non-profit. Working from the Eastern Regional Office at the Huddleston Farmhouse in Cambridge City, I provided technical assistance for property owners, staffed local historic preservation commissions, and assisted in capacity building with non-profit organizations. My duties included a 15 county region, Executive Director of the Indiana National Road Association, and Management of the Huddleston Farmhouse and programs. I also managed and annually reviewed 62 historic preservation easements for compliance. Through Indiana Landmarks Commission Assistance Program, I managed historic district commissions and municipal facade grant programs. Also served as the Executive Director of the Indiana National Road Association (INRA). The National Road is an National Scenic Byway and All-American Road. The Indiana National Road Association works to Protect, Preserve, and Promote Indiana's section of the Historic National Road. Under my leadership, INRA developed a facade grant program, redeveloped the organization's website, developed and expanded the organization's social media reach, and installed interpretive signage across the 157 mile corridor.
