I performed a wide range of responsibilities at a Troop Medical Clinic, catering to a substantial clientele of more than 10,000 service members and beneficiaries. These responsibilities encompassed patient triage, administration of immunizations, requisition of basic laboratory, radiology, and medication tests, conducting physical examinations, and providing support during minor surgical procedures. Notably, I was among the select few medics authorized to utilize medical data entry programs, enabling precise monitoring of the medical readiness of our soldiers. Additionally, I undertook administrative duties overseeing a team of over 30 medics. This role encompassed the meticulous management of personnel records, including certifications such as EMT-B, BLS, and HIPAA compliance. I was also responsible for ensuring medics' proficiency with medical equipment, maintaining fire inspection records, medication reports, infection control documentation, HAZMAT/HAZCOM compliance, familiarity with MSDS, and coordination of work orders, among other responsibilities. Moreover, I was granted a waiver from the MEDDAC Hospital Commander on Fort Carson to become the FORSCOM NCOIC as a Specialist (E4) due to my extensive knowledge and capabilities.
