Research Ophthalmologist
CurrentI am currently the research ophthalmologist at Virscio conducting preclinical examinations and procedures for contract research engagements and internal research and development. I apply my expertise in the ophthalmic field to enhance objectives, methodologies, and preclinical ophthalmic research. My focus is on characterizing disease pathophysiology and evaluating the efficacy, pharmacology, and safety of new therapeutics, medical devices, and drug delivery technologies.I leverage my knowledge to identify and propose enhancements for ophthalmic model development. This includes managing the characterization and validation of ophthalmic models across multiple disease areas.Key aspects of my current role include communication with research sponsors to define development objectives and technical considerations crucial for effective clinical translation. Proficiency in research, imaging, and diagnostic methods, along with familiarity in related ophthalmic disciplines, essential for direct involvement in data collection and interpretation. My role also entails effectively communicating company capabilities and overseeing project team members assigned specific technical responsibilities.
