Utilities Systems Health Lead
CurrentDevelop, establish and make decisions regarding operating parameters for mission critical systems in direct support of production requirements. Ensure efficient operations to meet defined DOE strategic goals for water and energy usage.Achieve established goals in support of production quantities, product quality, personnel safety, procedural adherence, and security protocol adherence within assigned area of responsibility.Serve as the primary decision maker for day to day decisions related to assigned processes and equipment that affect system performance, reliability and effectiveness/ efficiencies to support the mission and established goals.Serve as the primary interface for issues related to safety, security, equipment operating parameters, and emergency preparedness for assigned processes.Review completed surveillances, round sheets, and other monitoring results to ensure facility and equipment operating performance is within expected operating limits.Maintain continual awareness of operational status and maintenance needs for assigned systems.Serve as the focal point regarding definition of long-range planning and sustainment projects for the assigned capability.Provide input for the development of long range plans and funding strategies that will ensure equipment health and viability over the 8-year planning horizon for the budgeting process. Monitor trends in equipment availability to identify equipment that requires enhanced system health monitoring or more in depth reviews to determine long term sustainment actions. Ensure an effective preventative maintenance program has been defined and implemented for key systems and equipment including refurbishment actions.Maintain the System Health capability confidence ratings for equipment in assigned capability area.Serve in a project management role for specific equipment health issues/projects that involve extensive, cross-functional coordination for successful completion.
