    For the extension of the production capacity of Implanon NXT (MSD product) production activities and equipment need to be tranferred to other locations. In this way production areas are made available for Implanon NXT production facilities and equipment. The relocation is executed in phases. Within the scope of the team milling/sieving-, extrusion-, big bag unloading- and cleaning equipment of different Production departments are to be relocated. The team is responsible for the decommissioning at the existing location, the disconnection of the equipment, the transport, the installation, commissioning, qualification and making the equipment ready for use at the new location. Parallel to the transfer the concerned equipment is going to be prepared for contained handling of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's).GMP, EHS and operational risks are to be minimized. Risk assessments are executed for this.The team is also responsible for execution under change control the modifications towards the existing Environmental Management Systems and to introduce under change control the modifications in the material flows during and after the construction activities needed.

    Per April 1 2009 I did this work under responsibility of Yxion.New welding machine Assembly MachineIn cooperation with CMC a new ultrasonic "welding" device for the assembly machine of Implanon (MSD product) Applicator has been introduced.Extensive tests were exeucted to show the process capabilities of the system and to reduce the risk of the introduction of a new welding machine.Introduction has been done succesfully. The robustness of the machine has been improved.Contained transfer of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API)For the IPT Steriles CP department the transport and transfer of API's in a disposable contained system (Hicoflex) has been introduced. Including all test to proof the system was suitable for this application. A method to fill the disposable with API has been developedFor the IPT Nuvaring department the transport and transfer of API's in a stainless steel container with Split Butterfly Valve has been introduced.Reduction safety risks due to working with hoisted containers above compression machines.Support frames over the compression machines have been introduced. On this frames the containers are to be placed. The introduction has been done in close cooperation with the operators working with the machines. In total 7 frames have been introduced.
