Alfa-college is a community college. I teach students 21st century skills as presenting themselves in person but also their work on paper. I teach them how to think from a customer’s perspective. I let them write all their papers and assignments from that perspective and managed to get. I help them deal with struggles and problems in their education and personal life.

After my family and I moved to Sweden I started working for Tieto. Tieto is an international operating IT company that focuses highly on usability and integrating IT solutions into daily life. For the Kalmar office I was hired as a Senior UX Designer to help the office grow into developing user friendly solutions for their daily work. I was to create an environment of change and creativity, by approaching things differently and being the extension of Tieto’s Customer Experience Management team in Stockholm.

I taught students how to research products and services in a structured manner, and to look at things from a user’s perspective. By focusing on User Experience and interaction they wrote improvement proposals, manuals or created new innovative and user friendly products. I used techniques like prototyping, wireframes, problem tree, moodboards, user testing, surveys, interviews, eye tracking, many types of brainstorming etc. I challenged them professionally and supported them emotionally.

KPN is one of the leading telephone and IT companies in the Netherlands. My job was tocommunicate and bring all parties together when there were system outages at our customers. Imade sure that problems were resolved as quickly as possible while keeping all parties in the loopand that the customer in the end was happy with the results. I worked hard on maintaining a goodrelationship with our customers and made them feel heard. I also educated key users at mycustomers and wrote monthly performance reports for them.

Axent Nabestaandenzorg B.V. is a funeral insurance agency. I was responsible for everything in the IT field. Axent works exclusively with suppliers with regards to IT. I wrote requirements for new functionalities, tested these and wrote the accompanying manuals. When there were incidents I solved them in cooperation with the suppliers. I also helped users with questions and educated them when new software was implemented.

Together with partner Ricardo Rodriguez I founded Groente van Vis. The idea was to grow Aquaponics based organic vegetables and fish . I wrote the business plan and did all the calculations and made designs ​​for optimal production. In addition, we presented the business concept on the "Day of vegetables and urban agriculture in Groningen " on the former grounds of the Suiker Unie.

Paylogic is a ticketing organization which sells online tickets for events. As a Product Manager I wasresponsible for creating a vision about the usability of Paylogic’s front and back office. I designednew functionalities and trained key users. I managed part of the product backlog and worked closely with internal and external customers. I have led several improvement projects and acted as ausability expert for the entire organization. I was also responsible for the improvement of theteamwork between the development team in Groningen and the Product Management team inAmsterdam.

Calco is specialized in the development of software, maintaining existing information systems, maintaining infrastructures and applying the quality standards in ICT. For my work at Nationale Nederlanden, Calco granted me the title employee of the year 2011.

Nationale Nederlanden is the largest insurance agency in the Netherlands. I was responsible fortraining 90 key users who in addition could train 1800 end users. By writing user friendly manualsand creating in conjunction with Tinqwise an E-learning for Salesforce the Go Live was a hugesuccess. For my work at Nationale Nederlanden I was awarded the title “Employee of the year” atCalco.

Electronic Arts is the largest game developer in the world. I was responsible for testing games,writing test scripts for other testers and writing associated reports. I also developed two majorcommunication documents to support the communication between different departments. I haveworked on FIFA 10 and Need for Speed World.
