I first started with wood floors working for my father Maury Christopherson as a young boy. I worked full time at the family wood flooring business while attending The Evergreen State College and South Puget Sound Community College. At age 32 I became a flight instructor and commercial charter pilot at Gower Aviation in Olympia where I worked for 4 years. Still also in the wood flooring business In 1990 I started a wholesale wood flooring products distribution company called Western Distributing, which I sold in 4 years later to the Pankratz Forest Industry Corp as an addition to their Kelly Goodwin Co. In 2000 with the help of my brother in-law Carl Mathisen, I started Alaska-Olympia wood flooring supply. In 2001 I became one of the first Certified Wood Flooring Inspectors in Washington State by the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association). In 2006 I was invited by the NWFA to sit on the Certified Wood Flooring Inspectors Review Board. I still enjoys working with the installation crews on large projects. My wife Lynette Fox, manages the offices, and is a major inspiration to do everything the best you can with all of your heart and sole. In 2013 I started Hoh River Brewing with my son Cory. The brewery takes up about 1/2 of my time, and Christopherson Wood Floors the other 1/2, My Wife Lynette now, completely runs the Distribution company while still overseeing Christopherson Wood floors freeing me up to more time to concentrate on the large CWF projects up north and my brewing.
