Reporting into the PhotonStar LED Group Plc CEO, I was responsible for the Sales & Commercial Strategy for the "IoT Solutions for Buildings" business within PhotonStar Technology Ltd. The halcyon PRO02 product & Cloud BMS is a retrofittable Commercial Wireless Control & Monitoring Platform (SaaS) that provides environmental, behavioral and energy analytics and automated actions. This reduces operational costs, improves safety, efficiency and work place quality. Businesses who have or intend to have multiple or remote sites to manage, typically where those individual sites are not large enough or have building restrictions will benefit the most. This solution is key to Clients with sites that are unable to have a wired BMS or EMS such as KNX. The solution has been well received by senior management within businesses, it provides CEO's, Finance & Operations Directors with real time energy analytics and more importantly live running cost data though the Cloud BMS. Key Clients are multiple site Retail Outlets, Pub Companies, Restaurant Groups & Food Outlet Chains, Temporary Office Space Providers, Property Companies, Local Government Councils & Housing Associations. In addition the solution has been extremely popular within the Student & Staff Accommodation sector.

Reporting into the Sales Director my role is to grow and develop the Independent Retail Business, and in turn secure Westcoast as the number one Distributor of choice for this market sector. Established for nearly 30 years with a revenue of £1.4bn and over 700 employees Westcoast is one of the leading IT Distributors in the UK. Specialising in the distribution of brands such as Apple, HP, Microsoft, Samsung & Toshiba Westcoast have a wide variety of product categories to offer the Independent Retail Market.

Responsible for setting up and running this new division. Again building a database from scratch new customers included some of the largest and best known Independent Retailers in the Country. This also included the largest buying group in Europe who have 1000+ Traditional Domestic Appliance & CE Retail sites in the UK. The role was across all parts of the business including contract negotiation with bespoke customers SLA's, manufacturer engagement/planning, and logistics planning. Products supplied into this channel were mainly from the IT, CE, & Retail Communications categories.

The role involved building a new customer database from scratch, prospecting, developing and managing these customers on a daily basis. Customers included VAR's, corporate, SME's and Independent Retailers. This division is now one of the largest business units within the company

Supplying PC/Notebook & Peripherals into the Corporate, Commercial and Value Added Reseller market. In addtion to this I was responsible for managing 20 Sony Centre retail locations for the supply of VAIO Notebook. This role was prospecting, developing, and managing accounts that were predominantly in the B2B market.
