External Module Leader for a commercial engine program for 4 months before moving on to my next position. In this role, I provided leadership and technical direction to a department team to meet program cost, schedule and technical commitments. I managed risk and priorities to avoid surprises and responded to changes within the program. Negotiated overall technical requirements and integrated department efforts to achieve a robust, balanced design. Managed the program and acted as the Department focal point for internal and external communications of program status, issues and abatement plans.

In this position I was responsible for mentoring and leading a Global engineering team that has design responsibility for our fielded commercial engine fleet. I provide them with technical and program management expertise to drive field problems and cost reduction opportunities to closure to meet our customer's expectations. Department goals were focused on improving FTY and OTD performance metrics for projects owned by the global engineering team. I worked closely with them to identify ineffective processes and look for ways to remove barriers and make the lines of communication as open as possible.Export compliance is a big part of our business. So a big part of my job was to promote global engineering team effectiveness with vigilance for export compliance.In addition to the work that I did with the global teams, I have also been involved in creating engineering project proposals and leading short-cycled product improvement projects that the business has identified as key to sustaining customer satisfaction. I continue to mentor and review electrical harness projects. I have authored and trained engineers in the latest harness design tools and best practices.

Reviewed all projects and managed the teams month over month improvement in cost/performance variation. Held this position until program put under a stop work order by the customer.
