I am highly self motivated. In high school I worked nights at UPS. After graduating I worked construction as well. Working both of these jobs at once taught me that hard work alone isn't enough to be successful.A defining moment in my life was my next step. Moving to Houston, TX to attend the Ocean Corporations Ultimate Diver program. Graduating as a Commercial Master Deep Sea Diver I went to work in the offshore oilfield industry. The oilfield galvanized my work ethic and gave me many opportunities to observe great men, making decisions in bad circumstances. The most important thing I learned was to calmly consider available information and make decisions.Despite enjoying my work as a diver, working months at a time offshore is not conducive to maintaining good relationships at home. This was a major factor in my deciding to work for a construction company close to home. The oilfield gave me familiarity with rigging, heavy equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication. I spent years mobilizing quickly, being sure we had everything we would needed to complete a job and fabricate or repair things as necessary.After marrying my wife I considered many options before working at Toyota Motors Manufacturing Indiana. I appreciated being able to be home every night, and there respect for employees. Toyota was in need of maintenance workers and this type of work appealed to me. I was told a degree in maintenance was a prerequisite and decided to attend Vincennes University. The AMAT degree met the requirements, and afforded me an opportunity to learn from instructors with real world experience who offer help pursuant to my personal goals.Graduating with honers from VU with an associates degree in Industrial Maintenance and Robotics in 2018 I was hired at Toyota’s Tmmi manufacturing facility as maintenance specializing in robotics, PLC’s, HMI interfaces, and training.I hope to use Linked in to expand my social network in the aria of manufacturing.
