Lead engineer for vehicle gear selection control systems for overseas markets (US & SE Asia). - Project management and product development.- Identify and implement cost reductions.- Conduct regular supplier meetings with local and international suppliers and maintain accurate open issues lists ensuring all issues are closed by target dates- Hold cross functional meetings to ensure objectives of internal departments are synchronised- Accurately document and archive project data to meet ISO9001 standard and support ISO audits as required- Root cause analysis and problem solving of technical issues - Conduct risk analysis on product design and any design changes- Lead technical reviews with potential suppliers and assist purchasing with negotiations - Develop and release specifications including validation of designs - Conduct Six Sigma projects to improve product performance
