I command, direct, lead, and train a logistics readiness flight of 51 members in 8 career fields within the 446th Airlift Wing. I establish and enforce policies; provide guidance over, and ensures unity of effort for all flight operations. I coordinate training and missions requirements with active duty logistics readiness squadrons worldwide for annual tours while developing the capability to implement higher HQ mobility taskings to support forward operating missions and capability.

Mcchord Airfield, Washington

I served as the Aerial Port Operations Officer for the 446 Airlift Wing (AW) responsible for the organization, training, equipage, and worldwide readiness of a Reserve Aerial Port of 120 people at Joint Base Lewis McChord. I oversee the operational readiness of the squadron to include unit deployment training, exercises, operational readiness inspections, and quality assessments. I assess the unit readiness capability, limiting factors, expeditionary skills training, storage and inspection of unit readiness programs. I analyze base ready program requirements, develop get-well strategies and report findings to squadron, group, and command staffs and agents. I received the 446 Airlift Wing Field Grade Officer (FGO) of the Year award in 2013.

Washington Area

I managed the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for a Medical Distribution Facility. I orchestrate the implementation of an EHS management system to drive regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and risk reduction. I coordinate workers' compensation, EHS training, incident investigation, hazard recognition and control programs. I manage contracts for services of snow removal, janitorial maintenance, landscaping, parking lot maintenance, exterior lamping or other interior/exterior services as applicable to Cardinal Health facility. I provide strategic leadership and I'm responsible for the development, implementation and administration of comprehensive environmental health, safety and security programs for the Medical Distribution Center’s Security, Safety, Regulatory, Environmental & Health practices.Additionally, I oversee facility assessments of environmental, health and safety risks while leveraging the operation's staff to support these requirements ensuring compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. This includes responsibility for facilities, equipment, ground application as well as products handled and repackaged.

Kuwait

As Director of Operations for the 407th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, I led a 38 member squadron and integrated five work centers, enabling 1,700 combat sorties and exploiting over 5,000 enemy targets in direct support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. During this time, I was also assigned Installation Inspector General Liaison and directed a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device exercise, resulting in the identification of multiple security deficiencies enabling the planning and funding of a $711,00 physical security upgrade. I co-authored Al Jaber Air Base's blueprint for $21.8 million dollars in construction upgrades and increased the United States Air Forces Central Command's strategic basing options. Additionally, I conducted a Commander's Inquiry into fire and safety violations spanning tow Air Expeditionary Wings which eliminated fire safety inspection gaps and identified Best Practice recommendations for the Air Forces Central Command Fire Inspection Element and earned the 407th Air Expeditionary Group Field Grade Officer of the Month.

Transit Center At Manas, Kyrgyz Republic

I served as the Aerial Port Flight Commander within the 376th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron at the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyz Republic. I commanded an 81 member organization, leading to the successful integration of three work centers at the busiest passenger hub in United States Air Force Central Command. managed and directed the onward movement and airlift of 221,078 warfighters, 17,162 short tons of baggage and 2,874 short tons of cargo on 2,753 missions in direct support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM with a 99.9 percent aircraft on-time departure reliability rate. I created airlift channels to the newly established KC-135 aircraft detachment at Mazar-e-Sharif Airfield which saved 1,500,000 gallons of jet petroleum per week. Identified user requirements of wartime construction equipment, propelling airlift for 11 rolling stock and 28 tons of cargo ensuring the realization of a 13 million dollar Central Command Military Construction project. I orchestrated all logistics and ground handling requirements for a Secretary of Defense visit and consequently garnered Company Grade Officer of the Quarter Award for the squadron. Additionally, I served as Wing Emergency Operations Center Director and On-Scene Commander in support of the sixteen-day recovery effort in the wake of a KC-135 aircraft crash.

Lacey, Washington

I directed facility operations for one of four Target Import Facilities ensuring safety and productivity in receiving shipments from overseas manufacturers and suppliers and processing them forward to Regional Distribution Centers (DCs). I managed all building maintenance, repairs, cleaning, concessions, and safety activities in Target’s owned and operated facility. I supervised seven technicians overseeing repairs and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment. I trained non-exempt maintenance personnel, including hiring, employee development, and corrective action and scheduling. I facilitated and executed planning capital expenditures, bidding, purchasing, and negotiating contracts for new equipment and services. I assisted Facility Operations Senior Manager in planning capital expenditures, bidding, purchasing, and negotiating contracts for new equipment and services. I also managed and administered environmental programs to included HAZMAT and Recycling assuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while serving as main contact/liaison between facility and regulatory agencies. I organized and coordinated building improvement projects within the 135-acre property and 1.9 million square foot facility. Additionally, I successfully executed the Target Grant Program for the facility as Grant Captain impacting Target grant giving as ambassador for the building ensuring 14 nonprofit organizations receive grants within the local community positively influencing our community partners.

Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan

I directed operations and supervised personnel for a 132-person Logistics Support Squadron in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Oversaw the organization’s vehicle maintenance, fuels, supply, traffic management and logistical plans for Bagram Airfield.I coordinated requirements for $1,300,000 fuel system upgrade which maximized use and cut heavy aircraft refueling time by more than 72 percent. I restructured supply processes/policies reducing back orders by 25 percent and saving Air Force $980,000. I supervised personnel, directly and through subordinate supervisors. I directed work schedule planning, work assignment, turnover, clarification of instructions, technical training, review of in-progress and completed work; vacation approval, performance evaluation, dispute resolution, recommendation of disciplinary actions, and initiation of recognition for outstanding performance. I proposed new locations, requested funding, and defined requirements for long-term vehicle maintenance, supply, and fuels shop locations. I organized and coordinated multi-flight relocation allowing $27,000,000 Military Construction project to begin construction and ensured operations were maintained.

Mcchord Airfield, Washington

Directed airfield operations ensuring quality service is provided to five flying organizations. Led fifty-two highly skilled air traffic controllers and airfield management personnel. Assessed unit readiness capabilities, limiting factors, common expeditionary skills, training and inspection of unit readiness programs. Monitored conditions of airfield facilities and equipment, assessed impact on flying operations, and coordinated maintenance and upgrade actions. Key member of Disaster Control Group responding to base and local emergencies. Organized and conducted quarterly Airfield Operations Boards consisting of twenty-three civilian/military organizations. Responsible for building and maintaining effective work relations with other military base organizations, Head Quarters USAF, Department of Defense, other local, state, and federal government counterparts as well as commercial and private organizations. Coordinated and oversaw airfield construction projects including installation of runway lighting, taxiway paving and shoulder reconstruction, paving ramp access lanes, and runway painting. Lead airfield representative during environmental assessment for proposed tactical arrival/departure procedures. Key member in shaping Department of Defense policy for McChord AFB joint basing realignment proposal. Supervised airfield team in preparation for bi-annual Air Force inspection of airfield/ATC procedures and facilities. Team Lead for an evaluation prep-team overhauling 1K+ airfield checklist items for biennial headquarter inspection resulting in a 96% compliance rating encompassing ATC and Airfield operations. Managed the organizational budget of $175K controlling costs, maximizing productivity maintaining safe airfield operations.
