Global Head of Equity Short Analytics and Strategy at Bank of America since 2013. The group focuses on high conviction short ideas, hedging strategies, short positioning, portfolio finance advisory for hedge funds, short interest data, and manages a suite of more than 75 custom derivative instruments to express diversified short exposure via total return swap and OTC Options. The group also traffics in options, ETFs, CDS, convertible bonds, and credit markets. While hedge funds are the largest consumer of the product, the group services Long Only investors, Pensions, Endowments, Venture Capital firms and Corporates. Previous to Bank of America, I was the North American head of hedge fund coverage within Deutsche Bank Prime Brokerage, accountable for short interest and financing strategy & market commentary from 2009 to 2013. From 2004 to 2009, I was a member of the portfolio finance group at Och-Ziff Capital management. The role was responsible for securities lending, total return swaps, margin analysis, cash management, custom equity and credit financing facilities, repo, and interest rate exposure for the fund. Additionally, the group ran a risk book creating alpha surrounding event driven opportunities, derivatives, single stock shorts, and other unique market opportunities with a financing lens.
