As program manager of Tilian Farm, I was responsible for rebooting their incubator farm with new life and new blood. Tilian Farm consists of 13,000 square feet of greenhouses, equipment and cold storage dedicated to this mission of mentorship and training of new organic farmers. The program allows access to equipment and infrastructure to give beginning farmers better access to the experience of farming while bypassing the capital requirements of a typical farming operation. My position required a complete audit of the incubator farm, onboarding processes and conflict resolution strategies. Mentoring farmers from concept to production was a key role, along with program marketing. Additional responsibilities included | working with other staff and directly with the FSEP BOD | USDA grant auditing | vetting beginning farmer business plans | rebuilding community partnerships | lease retention | boundary setting with former participants | workshop development | developing new income streams | infrastructure maintenance | property maintenance

Management of all aspects of small business development from seed to table. Implementation of a customizable ecommerce platform for a 150-250 member community supported agriculture program. Relationship development with local area chefs desiring the highest quality produce. As a direct market farmer I was responsible for assuming a myriad of roles that are inherent to any small business, while also guiding that business strategically through intense periods of year-on-year growth.
