About John Ferree
Change can start with a simple seed, planted with care and rooted in the knowledge that it may grow to become more than we ever dreamed. My roots stand firmly in mutual benefit for the greatest good, regardless of where I find myself. After two years of travel and personal development I am seeking employment in a positive and collaborative environment with a focus on making change at a personal, community and systems level. Individually and collectively, we choose how we move through the world and our perspectives reflect what we believe to be possible. By standing together with a clear vision of what we want to create in our world, we enable others to find the courage to believe a better world is possible. As a farmer, board member, and mentor I have done my best to seed change where I stand, combining a well grounded practicality with a vision of how we can individually and collectively remediate our lives, our communities and our relationship with this amazing planet. My diverse experience in horticulture, entrepreneurship and community building is built on taking action and following through to produce tangible results while maintaining a strategic vision.

I was responsible for taking an old homestead with a great deal of deferred maintenance and turning into a working, profitable organic farm. Farmers wear many hats. Some of my hats included: Strategic planning, budget and pro-forma income and expense.

Tilian Farm consists of 13,000 square feet of greenhouses, equipment and cold storage dedicated to this mission of mentorship and training of new organic farmers.
