John is also an ADR Group Accredited Mediator.John's cases include:• Overturning for eight trust and corporate entities a US$3.04 billion without notice freezing injunction obtained in England, BVI, IOM and Jersey by one of the largest Russian crude oil producers. • Defeating the attempt by an alleged beneficiary of a trust to add IOM professional trustees to ongoing High Court proceedings in England, and to recover from them £205 million for alleged fraud, breach of trust and negligence. • Defeating claims against multiple partners for fraud, breach of partnership duties, injunctive relief and disclosure, judicially described as "attrition warfare at its height"; and obtaining awards to buy-out the claimant partner and for indemnity costs.• Advising Jersey professional trustees on potential proceedings in England against the settlor of a trust in a long-running Jersey dispute.• Defeating winding-up proceedings against an IOM Limited Partnership in the English High Court, the IOM High Court, the IOM Court of Appeal and the Privy Council issued by a beneficiary of an employment benefit trust that held an interest in the partnership. • Defeating a £20 million claim against trust entities for fraudulent misrepresentation and unlawful means conspiracy. • Defending a claim for fraudulent misrepresentation following the sale at auction of a 1954 Ferrari racing car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
