I work with the customers to support the day-to-day use of the Control Tower Simulator; provide scenario and playing area data and aid the customer in the efficient and trouble-free use of the simulation system. I work closely with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel to ensure all simulator training objectives are met.

I provided support for the FAA Systems Engineering Group (Headquarters level) as a subject matter expert (SME) for air traffic management and air traffic control related issues. Primary focus was on functional analysis, requirements definition and concept validation for prototype NextGen automation to be used in FAA Air Traffic Control facilities and the National Airspace System. I also represented the group in all Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) through active participation as a member of the Surface CDM sub-group. In this capacity I provided input/support for various airport surface related concerns to include Concept of Operations validation, concept of use scenario development, metrics definition and policy recommendations.

Detroit Metro Faa Air Traffic Control Tower And Tracon

Responsible for oversight of all air traffic management functions at a high density Air Traffic Control Tower and Terminal Radar Approach Control facility. Collaborated with stakeholders to mitigate adverse impacts in the National Airspace System. Voting member of CDM Surface (SCT) sub-team, providing input for requirements for new systems development.

Provided operational oversight for a group of front line supervisors and journeyman/trainee air traffic controllers at a High density Air Traffic Control Tower. Collaborated with all airport stakeholders to resolve operational impacts and enhance safety.
