Research Analyst Supervisor Senior
Current- Supervise two teams of field staff and a team of internal staff; each team consists of full time employees, part time employees, and student workers as well as provide guidance to traffic counting personnel in other districts throughout the state-Successfully acquire over $75,000 in funding from the Transportation Research Board for multiple traffic data collection projects.- Properly manage a $200,000 (FY2020) and $356,000 (FY2021) equipment spending budget - Technical Liaison, for a Technical Advisory Panel project, taking vehicle length data from RTMC radar detectors around the metro and using it for heavy commercial traffic detection-Participate on a committee looking at the use of non-intrusive methods (radar) for collecting traffic data that conforms to MnDOTs safety manual- Revive a project of placing traffic detecting radar units at high roadway volume RWIS sites across the state. Currently 70 in use with 20 more to be installed Summer 2023- Present to the Major Projects Committee on the importance of adding an AADT forecast check for all Level 1 GDSU projects- Complete Supervisory Core Program Classes, four weeks of trainings- Present job duties as an accredited class for the Leadership Development Program- Attended 2023 Minnesota Transportation Conference in St Paul, MN- Attended 2022 NaTMEC (National Travel Monitoring Exposition and Conference) Virtual - Boise, ID- Attended 2021 GIS-T Virtual Conference- Attended 2019 NaTMEC (National Travel Monitoring Exposition and Conference) in Irvine, CA- Attended 2019 Minnesota Transportation Conference in St Paul, MN- Attended 2019 Jackalope User conference in Reno, NV- Attended 2018 Summer MPO Conference focusing on Traffic Demand Modelling in St Cloud, MN
