Co-Founder and Managing Director of GSF Advisors since 2005, with 30 years of experience in the equipment leasing, lending and renewable energy project finance fields. GSF has advised clients on over $40 billion of tax equity financings since inception in both the clean energy and general equipment financing industries. Currently active in advising renewable developers on tax monetization strategies and financing opportunities within the clean energy provisions of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (“IRA”). Also experienced in various tax equity monetization structures including emerging market for the transfer and sale of tax credits under the IRA. Prior to joining GSF Advisors, Mr. Hackett headed Capstar Partners' municipal structured finance practice. The group's responsibilities involved structuring, placing and documenting tax-advantaged lease transactions for a variety of domestic municipal agencies. This group of six professionals led the development of cross border and domestic lease transactions and their application to the US mass transit sector.
