Having spent nearly 20 years winemaking for a variety of businesses, both big and small, here (in Australia) and abroad, I co-founded and established Mitchell Harris Wines in the heart of Ballarat in 2013. Mitchell Harris Wines is a five red star awarded Halliday Wine Companion winery, and our Ballarat CBD restaurant and cellar door is a Wine List of The Year - 3 wine glass awarded wine list.With few additives & minimal interference, I create elegant & distinctive still & sparkling wines from small growers in the near-by Pyrenees, Ballarat, Macedon and Henty wine regions.When not in the vineyard or winery, you will find me managing our award winning cellardoor, wine bar & event space in the heart of Ballarat.I have been a chair of judges and senior judge at many regional and capital city wine shows, and have a new found interest in the diverse world of distilled spirits production.
