Working on a range of planning applications, drafting policy for emerging Local Plan and providing both Development Management and policy comments on planning applications. I provide planning advice at both pre and post-application stages and prepare evidence to inform draft policies in the following areas – offices, retail, protected views, historic environment, archaeology, urban greening, biodiversity, sustainability and key areas in the City.

The City's dynamic economy generates a high level of development activity. As part of my current role I monitor this development and publish its findings through a number of reports. Examining the Development Management planning permissions and identify schemes for analysis through survey work. All of this work is essential for reviewing policy performance and aiding projections of future land use provision for offices, hotels, housing and retail. This forms an important evidence for policy review enabling projections of future delivery of the relevant land use. I monitor the Development Management planning permissions and identify schemes for analysis. The planning permissions are checked, monitored and submitted to the GLA’s London Development Database (LDD). I also manage the bi-annual Development Survey to identify development sites to be assessed in terms of existing permissions and new schemes through mapping and survey forms. I produce Development Schedules and Development Information documents.

I provided a support service to the Development Management Team, delivering customer service, assisting members of the public alongside taking responsibility for work with Planning Officers. During this role I attended a number of site visits and helped prepare reports and agendas for both Planning and Conservation Area Advisory Committees. In addition I took on a senior role in managing large consultation exercises associated with major redevelopment projects.

My interest in Urban Design began during this post in which I worked on both an undisclosed security improvement project and the St Paul’s Churchyard consultation event. I managed and lead on the preparation of the St Paul's Churchyard consultation event and exercise. In addition I worked on supplying historical information of Petticoat Lane Market for a node which is on display on Middlesex Street.
