Managed and integrated product offerings in online trading, market data, tax lot accounting, financial planning, asset allocation, suitability and compliance and other wealth management systems. Acquired EMS, Frontier Analytics, Protegent, Bridge Powerpartner and FAME during a 4 year period while Group CEO. Also set the strategy and funded the development of SunGard Protegent and Sungard Wealth Station. Managed a staff of 700 and grew revenue from 20 million to 100 million of revenue in a 4 year period.

Sterling Wentworth was the largest provider of financial planning and needs analysis software in the nation prior to the company being purchased by SunGard in 1999. The company still provides financial planning products through SunGard's Wealth Management group and compliance solutions through SunGard Protegent. While Sterling Wentworth was a small start-up company John started the corporate sales division and sold major planning implementations to New York Life, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, MetLife, State Farm, American Express and many other Fortune 100 companies. As Sterling Wentworth grew into the largest provider of planning software John's responsibilities grew until he was named president of Sterling Wentworth in 1999.
