Experience in manufacturing began in 1983 at Rockwell International, a manufacturer of military aircraft. My talents were quickly recognized and I was promptly promoted to a salary supervision at final assembly position within 1 year of hire on a highly critical USAF Strategic Air Command B1-B bomber program. I was recognized for many performance related accomplishments during my tenure.At the end of the program I moved to the central coast of California where I began working for Rantec as a production supervisor, manufacturing power supplies for commercial and military applications. There, in addition to my supervisory duties, I learned the basic principles of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). I then began playing dual roles of Supervision and Planning. I was then offered a Planning position at Strasbaugh, a manufacturer of precision grinding and polishing machinery in the semiconductor industry. My skills were quickly recognized and I was promoted to Production Control Supervision within three month of being hired. I continued to hone my materials management skills through many APICS evening courses and eventually promoted to Materials Management of which I have been performing over the last 15 years.
