Few things in my professional life give me as much satisfaction as the opportunity to learn something new, and to bring this new knowledge to bear on a project or critical decision. In my short tenure with Corgan, I have had the pleasure of researching topics like the history and potential threat of Electromagnetic Pulse weapons on integrated circuitry in a data center, or the patterns of tornado strikes in the county of a proposed critical facility. Furthermore, data centers and mission critical facilities offer the opportunity to delve into many disciplines, and to see a project from many different perspectives, including the elusive and some times difficult to understand world of IT. It means talking kVA with an electrical engineer, and then turning around and talking virtualization with IT staff, and finding the way to knit these things together. In professional development, the question that always lingers for me is "how can I do this better/faster/more accurately than I do now." The thirst for new knowledge and understanding is a major component, the other is taking a critical look at the capital available and asking, "Have I used this to its fullest potential, is there another tool out there that is better?"Specialties: Data Center Planning and Design, Consultant Coordination, Construction Documents, Industry Research, Construction Administration
