As the Chief Engineer, I am responsible for managing the subsystem leads and ensuring the completion of our current racecar, FK04. In this role I have implemented project management software to get my team on a timeline, reviewed design to ensure smooth integration, and overseen workdays to fill in roles as needed.

Formula Kentucky is a Formula Society for Automotive Engineers (FSAE) team. This means that we design, manufacture, and test a formula racecar for FSAE design competitions. At these competitions, we compete against other teams from around the world in static and dynamic events.As the electrical subsystem lead, I manage a group of people to completely design any electrical systems on the formula car. Projects include a wiring harness, a data logger, a dash, and other electrical car components.

I was in this position during the COVID-19 outbreak. I chose to stay and keep working when we were given the option of going home with most of the student body. This experience helped me to become more adaptable. Every day there were new developments, and it was necessary to be actively communicating to Residential Life leadership and our residents to stay on top of the situation and answer any questions our residents had.

I worked with the Electrical Hardware team to test and troubleshoot the retail robot "Marty". My duties included designing and implementing a battery testing procedure and inventory, populating prototype circuit boards, and troubleshooting electrical problems with the robot.
