Advised farmers in a 16 county area of central Virginia on proper use of manures and commercial fertilizers to protect water quality of the Chesapeake Bay. Coordinated activities with Cooperative Extension Service, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and local Soil & Water Conservation Districts.
In partnership with my father I owned and managed an 800 acre farming operation in central NJ. The operation consisted primarily of cash grain (wheat and soybeans), alfalfa hay, and a small amount of direct retail produce. I procured and applied inputs, marketed crops, and directed staff. During this time we installed the largest soil conservation project in central NJ.
