John is now, RETIRED! He has been in law enforcement since 1983, starting as a uniform officer in the Mon-Valley area of Pittsburgh. John started his career with the State of Pennsylvania in 1987 and retired in 2011 from the PA Attorney General's office, Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control. John was a member of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Attorney General’s office from 1998-2008, the last 6 years on the team as a firearms instructor.John worked undercover as a narcotics agent working mid-upper level drug cases. He has worked as the primary affiant on several hard wire cases. John's cases had seizures well over hundreds of thousands of dollars including vehicles, houses, furniture, drugs and US currency.John has been a professional law enforcement training instructor since 1986, teaching in the basic and in-service training programs for Pennsylvania police officers throughout the State. He has been affiliated with the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) as a certified MPOETC instructor since 1990. John has also been involved as a MPOETC Commission course developer/instructor trainer on seven (7) different in-service training courses between 1994 and 2010.After retiring from the Attorney General’s office BNI, John became the Director and Chief of the Uniontown Hospital Police Department. UHPD is a fully certified police department in the State of Pennsylvania certified under the private police act, 501. John is Chief of a 13 man police department and 7 Communications Officers & 1 IT Tech with an extensive video surveillance and card access system. The police department trains four (4) times a year with their weapon systems, two times a year with their less lethal weapon systems, and completes numerous hospitals mandated in-service training. John has taken on both the Emergency Preparedness and Fire Suppression responsibilities for the hospital in 2014 and is actively working with the Local and State EMA agents.
