Responsible for the district sales efforts to maintain and grow the government market. Oversee the entire district key government accounts for fire and security systems to include direct end-user sales and district bid market opportunities that cover federal, state and city opportunities within our district coverage. Support the district general sales manager with management duties when district sales manager is out of the office.

Responsible for the overall success and growth of a two branch commercial fire alarm and security system business with a 4 million annual budget that covered the entire stateOversees all personnel in sales, operation and administration.Responsible for Mentoring and training all System and Service Sales Representatives.Maintains a monthly P&L, as well as, accounts receivable and inventory.

Responsibilities include Branch P&L ($5 million in revenue), planning, hiring, coordinating, controlling expenses of all departments, maintaining positive customer relations, letter writing, problem solving, sales management, commercial sales management and administrative management.• Grew branch operation from $1 million in revenue and seven employees to $5 million in annual revenue and 15 employees• Reduced A/R from 102 days to 60 days• Promoted from Service Sales Rep to Branch Manager ( first in company history)Service SalesDeveloped a large territory for the Columbus branch in service sales. Aggressively built a service base without a Pyrotronics installed based concentrating on third party inspection service.

Responsible for new plans reviews, training and inspection of sprinkler systems, kitchen systems and portable fire extinguishers. Extensive new business development including strong marketing performance and face-to-face cold calling and sales.

John Larkin’s career in the industry began as a fire fighter and fire inspector in the United States Air Force. After a nine year military career and obtaining an associate’s degree from City College of Chicago in Fire Science and Technology, John made the seamless transition to fire and security sales in the civilian business market.
