This work covers a wide range of skill sets such as witnessing of end to end or inhibited functional tests, this can be on site or witnessing FATS; review and audit of safety cases, review and audit of maintenance and inspection processes, visual inspection of plant and equipment, project management , also project verification of new build oil and gas process plant on new installations and on existing operational plant via modifications. This work is conducted to ensure that all items of plant and process systems function and operate in accordance with the requirements of the operators performance standard criteria Witness of functional and inhibited testing is carried out on plant and process systems and equipment such as mechanical plant shut down systems, ESD (plant emergency shut downs) and the associated logic operation during the test, deluge system testing, water mist and CO2 fire suppression system testing. Maintenance audits and reviews are conducted on the clients maintenance and inspection systems and implementation of them including all remedial works to confirm the suitability of their regime and therefore the process plant. Visual survey of components is conducted to assess condition and effectiveness of maintenance and inspection regimes that are being implemented and to identify any areas that need to be made robust. Project verification on new build installations and smaller packages for upgrade to existing process plant to ensure that modifications and installation works have fully complied with the clients QA process and have been installed and commissioned according to the approved design and installation workpacks and commissioned in accordance with the authorised commissioning procedure and meets all the clients performance standard criteria.
