This includes oversight of first level Operations Managers, Central Office Engineers, Outside Plant Engineers, This area of operations provides tw customers with layered services, NLAN, SNLAN, TDM, VoIP, Internet, MPLS on 600 route miles of fiber throughout 4 county upstate Capital Region. • Oversight of daily operations, forecasts for fiber network expansion, new product deployment, network advancement from legacy TDM to DWDM and next generation Ethernet networks, capacity augments, and network grooms providing the positive returns on the capital investments.• Work with City GM to manage Market P&L to ensure capital spending, return on investment, expense reduction, profitability target is met.• Direct all aspects of operations management to ensure customer satisfaction and long term network health, while working to reduce expenses. Approval of network design concepts, Oversight of operations management and engineering. Policy mgmt. for preventive network maintenance, and metrics for measuring sales solution intervals, and customer requested due dates met.• Partner with Corporate Engineering on implementation of new technologies and products into the local network. These technologies include IP Core, OEO, DWDM, Sonet, TransMux Dacs, Converged Ethernet, Metro Ethernet, Ethernet over TDM, SIP, MPLS and VoIP.• Partner with sales force with cost efficient on-net and off-net customer solutions. This often includes assisting sales by presenting the more complex solutions to a customer’s technical staff.• Partner with real estate group and contractors on build out and improvement of all aspects of central office space not only for our equipment but also customers who co-locate within our facility. These include power requirements, UPS and Generator, physical space, security, common areas, customer bandwidth requirements, etc. Show less
