CurrentOver 20 years experience in the design and development of energy demand models, with a principal focus on industrial and transportation issues. Responsible for the updating and enhancement of the NEMS Industrial Demand Module (IDM), developing detailed representations of selected energy-intensive industries (Cement, Aluminum, Lime, Iron & Steel, Glass, and Paper) using an equipment stock vintaging approach. Also restructured the modeling approaches in the non-manufacturing industry sectors (Agriculture, Mining and Construction), linking improvements in energy-intensity to endogenous metrics developed in other NEMS supply and demand modules. Has engaged with private clients to modify the Transportation, Residential, Commercial and Industrial Modules of NEMS to assess the impacts of differing assumptions about technological trends and legislative initiatives. For the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME) of the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy; developed and implemented national-level transportation and industrial energy demand models as part of a larger integrated modeling effort by Leidos. For Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN); was responsible for the development and maintenance of the demand-side models of the Maple-C integrated energy modeling system. These models comprise the Transportation Demand Module (TDM), the Residential Demand Module (RDM), the Commercial Demand Module (CDM), and the Industrial Demand Module (IDM) of Maple-C.
